Senior Manager of Sales, Finance, Far Niente Wine Estates

Founded in Oakville, California in 1885 and restored in 1979, Far Niente is consistently recognized as a benchmark producer of Napa Valley Chardonnay and Oakville Estate Cabernet Sauvignon.

Our team is expanding to support our growing portfolio. The Senior Manager of Sales Finance supports our go to market strategy in partnership with the VP of Marketing and the EVP of Sales and their leadership team. In this impactful position, you will play a crucial role in forecasting sales demand, Depletion Allowance (DA) spend, account analytical insights, deal structuring and approvals, and CBI/BDI analysis.


You will be successful in this role while performing these essential responsibilities:

  • Partner with the Sales and Marketing leadership teams and serve as a thought leader in shaping the financial framework of our Sales and Marketing goals and initiatives.
  • Support budgeting, forecasting, and longer-term planning processes by providing revenue and cost inputs, including drivers and assumptions for all Wholesale departments and products.
  • Conduct advanced analytics, delivering impactful and actionable insights that drive decision-making.
  • Ensure all internal and external sales data is accurate by maintaining mapping tables and process flows.
  • Assist in driving standardized Reporting, Forecasting, Budgeting, and Budget vs Actual processes and narratives.
  • Provide leadership, reporting and analysis into sales headcount, productivity, commissions, and bonuses.
  • Participate in the New Product Development stage gate process, owning analysis and modeling supporting route to market, accessible market, and price targets.
  • Track marketing metrics to help measure the effectiveness of marketing campaigns.
  • Perform ad hoc analysis of daily business issues and provide sales support for the company.

You will be qualified for this role if you met these requirements:

  • BS/BA in Finance or Business-related discipline.
  • 7+ years of previous experience.
  • Financial modeling and analytics.
  • Advanced Excel skills.
  • Strong quantitative skills

Pay Range: 146,000 to 179,000
