Deeply reflective of Far Niente’s nearly four decades of crafting majestic Napa Cabernet, our Far Niente Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon marries Cabernet Sauvignon from our estate vineyard in Oakville with hand-selected Cabernet lots from Calistoga, Oak Knoll, St. Helena, Stags Leap, Diamond Mountain, and Yountville.
On the heels of our winter release of the 2019 vintage of our iconic Oakville Estate Cabernet, we are excited to share a new vintage of Far Niente Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon with you, too!
Wait? There are TWO Far Niente Cabernets?
Since 1982, Cabernet has been a hallmark of Far Niente’s winemaking program. Our first vintages married Cabernet Sauvignon from our estate vineyard in Oakville with exceptional vineyards across the Napa Valley. With the 2001 vintage, the wine became 100% Oakville estate grown and bottled.
Then, starting with the 2017 vintage, we made the decision to craft two Cabernet Sauvignons under the Far Niente label: our legendary Oakville Estate Cabernet and a Napa Valley Cabernet.
While both our Napa Valley and Oakville Estate Cabernets are expressive, nuanced and timeless, they are also distinctly unique Napa Valley wines.
Far Niente Winemaker Nicole Marchesi highlights the distinctions between these two uniquely expressive Napa Valley wines.
