How are you planning to celebrate Mother’s Day this year?
One of my favorite outdoor activities is hiking, especially since both Napa and Sonoma Valleys have incredible trails with breathtaking views. In recent years, my two boys have turned into awesome hikers, so most likely we’ll celebrate with a hike and a picnic. Getting out on the trails together has become a really special way for our family to connect; we talk, observe and enjoy nature but often just end up playing some sort of adventure game that involves sticks as swords, fighting zombies or training dragons.
What does Mother’s Day mean to you?
For me, getting to be a mother is the single best gift I’ve ever received. Watching my two boys grow, change and discover their joy and independence the world is an incredibly rewarding experience. And now that they are getting a little older, we have shared interests in music and books, which is just so, so fun. Every time they say, “I love you” my heart just melts. Plus, bedtime snuggles with kids are the absolute best!

You’ve said that Mothers Day takes on extra meaning for you. Why?
My son was born on Mother’s Day, so the day feels extra special for us, especially because my own mom was with us, helping us care for my daughter. My husband made an incredible brunch, which I wound up not getting to enjoy. But my mom and husband were all too happy to share a glass of Far Niente Chardonnay and dive into the Mother’s Day crepes on my behalf!
Have you peeked inside our Mother’s Day gift shop recently?
Yes, and I would love to receive the Far Niente Chardonnay and Caviar. All that crisp, silky Napa Valley fruit paired with caviar’s salty, almost nutty notes? Heaven. I might even swap the French blinis for homemade potato chips.

How will you be celebrating Mother’s Day this year?
This year I will spend Mother’s Day with my husband and kids, then at night my hubby is taking me to see Paul McCartney as I am a HUGE Beatles fan.
Are there any wine and food gifts you’re hoping to enjoy before or after the concert?
I’m torn between two new gifts in our online shop, the Cabernet and Chocolate duet and the new Royal Sturgeon caviar kit, to pair with late harvest Dolce. The Kenefick Ranch Cabernet is one of my favorite wines from Nickel & Nickel and I love Woodhouse chocolates, however, that Dolce and caviar pairing is just too good to pass up! Can we just call it a tie and maybe I’ll be lucky enough to receive both?

How will you celebrate Mother’s Day this year?
My mother-in-law passed away this past February. She was a remarkable woman, and to honor her, I am hoping to spend the day working in the garden with a bottle of Far Niente Chardonnay. She loved to spend time planting, weeding, watering, and sipping. We will probably also get together with my mom and my sisters and their families.
What does Mother’s Day mean to you?
It's cliché but being a mom is both the hardest and most rewarding thing I’ve ever done. Even when the days are long and the laundry is overflowing, I know that the work I do is valuable – both at work and at home. I have the chance to help shape, mold, and raise two amazing little humans to be their best selves.

I’m known as the “Duchess of Dolce” on our team so a library vintage of Dolce and the caviar kit HAS to be my pick. I’m so excited for our partnership with the Caviar Co. If I had my pick of the library, I’d definitely choose the 2008 Dolce. It has the most beautiful apricot and poached pear notes with a caramel finish.
