As we drove through Far Niente’s ginkgo-lined Acacia Drive this week, we passed a pair of foxes running through the Martin Stelling Vineyard. Across the street, the Nickel & Nickel horses are soaking up the Napa Valley sunshine.

Our Far Niente hospitality team is thrilled to once again welcome guests for outdoor wine tastings in our Oakville wineries in Napa Valley. “It is so nice to return to paradise at the Far Niente Estate,” says longtime wine educator and Far Niente aficionado Reed Gomes. “This is one of my favorite times of year, with foxes spotted in our vineyards and mustard in bloom. The Canadian Geese have just returned to our pond, and in our tasting room, we’ve just released our annual allocation of Cave Collection Cabernets. These are rare, older Cabernet vintages, cellared and released in small amounts each year. In the Cave Collection wine experience we're highlighting the 2017 and 2014 vintages.”
Oh, and the Nickel & Nickel gardens are magnificent, too.
"I love that Nickel & Nickel winery looks out onto our John C. Sullenger Vineyard, and I love those moments when our guests get to taste the Sullenger Vineyard Cabernet Sauvignon while they look out at the vines it came from," says Nickel & Nickel Hospitality member Savannah Juarros. This has always been one of my favorite Cabernet vineyards, and it’s lovingly watched over by our horses, Pearl and Grace.”
