Autumn at Far Niente--A Beautiful Time to Visit

Crisp mornings, falling leaves, richly hewed golds, reds, oranges and browns—we are embracing autumn at Far Niente. With harvest completed, the cellar is a hive of activity as the crew finishes pressing the wines and getting them into barrel. And the winery’s gardens and pathways are a vivid display of the colors and textures that accompany this time of year.

If you’re considering a trip to the Napa Valley this winter, do give us a call. The days may be colder, but there is something special about tasting our wines in the cozy ambiance of our Great Hall or Founder’s Room.

In the meantime, enjoy these snapshots of autumn sights around our Napa Valley winery estate.

The gingkoes along our drive are just beginning a stunning transformation.

The Stelling Vineyard Cabernet vines are turning from green to gold.

An almost spring-like explosion of color greets visitors at our front gate.

The drive into the winery is a visual feast, with sculptural oak trees and brilliant pops of color.

Our persimmon trees, laden with jewel-like fruit, are a sight we enjoy through the month of November.

The walkway leading up to the winery enchants any time of year.

A familiar sight to our friends and visitors—a glimpse of the historic Far Niente winery as seen from the walkway.
